WERE GETTING
MARRIED

On the second Sunday of August we’ll say our vows in the walled garden at Hartfield House — and then we’ll dance until they send us home. Everything you need to know is on this page.

Our Story

Ten years, two cities, one yes

We met at a friend’s birthday in Lisbon, argued about the playlist, and have been finishing each other’s sentences ever since. Last spring, on the coast path at Cascais, Jonas asked — and Clara said yes before he’d finished the question.

The Venue

THE VENUE

A Georgian manor wrapped in wisteria, an hour west of London. The ceremony is in the walled garden, dinner in the orangery, and the dancing happens in the barn.

Where to Stay

Make a weekend of it

We’ve held rooms at two places we love — mention our names when you book.

The Swan, Bibury

Fifteen minutes away, on the river, very good breakfast.

Dress Code

Garden formal

Suits without ties, dresses that move, colours that belong outdoors. It’s grass and gravel underfoot, so leave the stilettos at home — and evenings get cool, so bring a layer.

Long tables, short speeches — we promise. Place cards are at the door and the menu leans on the kitchen garden, so mention allergies in your RSVP.

First dance

One song. Then you’re all invited. If it goes badly, we’ve asked the band to simply play louder.

The band plays till late; the DJ later still. The barn stays warm, the bar stays open, and cake appears at ten.
